Welcome to the Shallowford Lakes Swim team! We are a summer swim team that starts in mid-May and continues until mid-July.
The Sea Lion Swim Team is for families with children aged 5-18 years. In the pool, Sea Lion coaches work on teaching correct stroke technique in all four strokes, swimming skills like dives and turns, and improving endurance. The coaches also emphasize teaching the value of sportsmanship and team spirit – all in a fun and friendly environment. Swimmers compete in swim meets against other teams in the Greater Forsyth Swim League each week. As per league and pool rules, you must be a member of the Shallowford Lakes pool to be eligible to swim for the Sea Lion swim team. Pool Membership must be paid in full before swim team registration is submitted. Swim Team Registration fees for 2024, are $85 for the first swimmer and $65 for each additional swimmer.
Summer league swimming is a “family” sport. Parents are an integral part of the success of the team as they volunteer, lead, and run the organization. We do require at least one parent/adult family member to volunteer in some capacity at each home meet.
